Shannon is my friend from middle school. We met when we were 12 years old and were together practically every day after that until my dad got transfered and we moved to Middle Tennessee. I hated to leave her, we were 14 by now and I just knew we would lose touch forever.
Boy was I wrong! I worked hard at maintaining that friendship and keeping up over the years. There were times we lost touch, but never for too long. It has been almost 20 years since we met and although things have changed dramatically for both of us we still get together and have fun.
Shannons Birthday is today!! I drove to her house, about an hour away, yesterday and we spent the day together shopping, eating, laughing, talking and reminiscing in ways only the two of us would understand. This is the card that I made for her. I believe it is one of my all time favorites!
It uses the CTMH paper called Boom-Di-Ada and has rich pinks and greens that just pop against the vanilla cream cardstock. I added a little gray wool when I stamped the friend sentiment. I also added some buttons in the autumn harvest pack. I think the one blue button adds character.I know Shannon and I will always have the perfect friendship and that no matter what life throws us we will always be Forever Friends!!
